Silver Bells & Silver Jubilees

Warmest greetings, friends:

As we near the end of an unprecedented year for small businesses, it’s given me particular pause to count my blessings and silver-linings, as well as savour in our silver jubilee — 25 years of residential design.

I’ve learned that success doesn’t come from what we do occasionally, it comes from what we do consistently. Amazingly, I’m permitted to find my flow-state and do precisely what I love to do every day: to design beautiful spaces.

I’ve learned that numbers matter. Over a quarter-century running a busy firm, here are some numbers I’m most proud of:

3,500,000 square feet designed
156,000 client meetings curated
1025 move-in days celebrated
135 years of collective experience leveraged
2 offices (Calgary and NEW Penticton) managed
1 outstanding business partner/wife and team cherished

I’ve learned that your people are your greatest asset. My biggest professional accomplishment resides in retaining a core team for over 20 years. Fostering this exceptionally tenured group is what makes M&A unique, positioning us as one of the most experienced teams in the industry, evident in the quality and sophistication of our designs.

I’m thinking of my team, clients and contractors, past and present, with an extra measure of reverence and gratitude this year. My design firm has reached this significant milestone with your trust and support. This is not lost on me and I am forever grateful to our greater McDowell family.
