Grand View Residence

This extensive residence, complete with six car garage and indoor pool, was an unrealized design originally intended for a two acre parcel of land in Springbank. The Shingle style architecture of this home was designed to reduce its mass by breaking the overall building into its smaller parts consisting of a main body with lesser flanking elements attached. The tower served as a pivot for the garage and aided in breaking up the overall massing. The lower sloping eaves gave the design a human scale and provided continuous elements which tied the whole house together
