Our Story.

McDowell & Associates Inc. (M&A) is a boutique architectural design firm committed to excellence in residential design, predominantly single family and low density multi-family buildings. Under the direction of Al McDowell, the firm has been involved in inner-city redevelopment for the past 25 years, primarily in a leading design capacity. We proudly have projects across Canada, the United State and abroad.

We are headquartered in Calgary, Alberta and also serve the Okanagan and Columbia Valley for the convenience of our clients. Though each project is unique, our proven system blends clever and creative design, repeatedly yielding luxury and comfort. Al’s vision and hand is evident in each project, but there are a lot of people that help make that vision a reality.
